Wayhey, finally some properly nice weather! The last few days have been fantastic - once the clouds of my first day in Terrigal moved away the temperatures soared to 26+ and it became proper beach weather!
So I've been sunning myself, watching lots of surfing on the unbelievably huge waves (not waxed down my own board yet though!) and doing my best not to get fat. Not easy when the only place to get some food after about 9pm is the 24hour cream cake shop! (serious!) They are also well into their fish & chips here which is a bit weird.
Also took a day trip up to Tuggerah Lake which was v. picturesque, although no-one does anything there, ever, except fishing. It had lots of pelicans though.
So now I've moved on to Port Macquarie (pronounced ma-quarry), further north up the NSW coast, and staying in a v. lively, friendly hostel. More amazing, huge beaches here, and I've seen my first Koalas! Only in the local koala hospital so far, the wild ones are yet to come. They have camel trekking here too so really looking forward to that.
