Have been doing soooo much for the last few days I haven't been able to update the site that regularly, so lots to write about! Firstly on Wednesday I got up early, got picked up in a jeep with a giant plastic camel on top and taken to a long beach where there were 4 camels waiting on the sand! Looked very weird! The half hour ride but it was a cool experience, especially when they started walking into the sea! Can't wait for the photos of that!
The next day was a bike ride out to the koala & kangaroo park, where they're all running around amongst the people - they even let you play with them!
Since then I have moved from Port Macquarie to Coffs Harbour, 2 hrs north. Didn't take long to settle in, the backpackers hostel is great & organises tonnes of stuff, the first night we all went out and got trashed at a Karaoke & foam night at the local club - pretty heavy night, didn't actually go to bed at all because at 9 I had to be up again to go Horse Riding!!! Which was unsuprisingly pretty rough (much the the amusement of the others)! But, despite being a total beginner, by the end of it I was in total control, cantering away and having an amazing time - even saw some wild koalas up in the trees of the sub-tropical rainforest we were in.
So today has been recovering by the pool & getting a bit sunburnt - just re-cooping my energy for another big night on the town tonight!
Gotta go, the BBQ's nearly ready.
