17/12/08: Hey guys, Our holiday is starting to come to its end but we are still making the most of everyday. The weather is still steaming (36 degrees today) and luckily for us tourism hasnt picked up much here and its still a lovely quiet beach. Last night we kicked back and enjoyed some tunes from some uk singers at our restraunt. Great night. 7/12/08 till present: We decide to stay in a little cabin overlooking the beach in Patnem. Its quieter and more relaxing here. The beach is just stunning and we are definitely making the most of it. We have enjoyed fresh seafood dishes, strolls along the beach, swims, kicking back on our deckchairs and a regular game of beach cricket with the locals (every night at 4.30pm). We are now running late for the next match so we must keep this short and sweet. Will keep...

6/12/08-7/12/08: Finally after a 13hr train ride and a bumpy bus ride we arrive at beautiful Pololem. A long stretch of white sand and a calm blue ocean. Hundreds of quirky little shacks line the beach, most without windows and with only the basics (bed, shower, toilet). The beach is very pretty, full of hippies and a few beach parties. A stroll over to the next beach reassures us that as much as Pololem is lovely, one night was enough and it was time to make a c...

5/12/08-6/12/08: Off to Goa in our "luxurious" sleeper train. Six beds in one cabin means we got to get nice and cosy with the locals. We even got complementary breaky...two potato chips and a deep fried potato (We were happy to wait for lunch) It was a bit tight and smelly but the train rocked us to sleep and we actually got a good night sleep. We were glad to get off in the morning and prepare ourselves for another bus ride to the beach.

04/12/08 to 05/12/08: A quick overnight stop at Fort Cochin before getting the sleeper train to Goa was enough for us. The little old colonial town over looking the harbour is very pretty. Reminds us a bit of portsea. Enjoyed a stroll along the waters edge watching the fishermen pull in their huge man made chinese fishing net in. A gorgous little place but one night is enough here for us. Off to the mainland to catch a train in about 6hrs. We will be interested t...
