Hiya!!!! So I arrived in Fiji after 2 days of travelling, and it was sunny! :) After a day chilling on the mainland and meeting Kat, we set off early for the Island hoping tour around the Yasawa Islands! After missing our coach transfer cos we were too busy eating breakfast, we made it to the port and got on the big yellow boat! Half an hours boat ride away we reached out first island, 'South Sea Island'. The only was to descrive this place is desert island! It was TINY! There was only 10 of us staying on the whole insland on the first night, and 8 on the second! And like 3 members of staff each night! We had two nights on this island, and in this time we did lots of sunbathing, lots of eating, lots of snorkelling! We went out on a boat to the outer reef and snorkelled around and saw the most amazing, most brightly coloured fish, electric blue star fish and weird pointy fish things which weren;t so pretty! We could walk around the outside of the entire island in like 4 minutes, and even kayaked around it one day to ensure we didn't just spend all our days lazying around getting fat! In the evening we took part in a crab race, where the staff gave us all a crab and put them in a race...unfortuantly mine decided to stop moving halfway through! GUTTED! And we tried some Kava...it's what the Fijians drink instead of alcohol, its a root that they mix with water...but just tastes like muddy water, not cool! But they find it relaxing, so we thought we should be cultural and get involved and try some too! Basically, south sea is beautiful!
