The fourth island was Nabua Lodge! The boys and Kirsten were also coming to this island with us which was nice...but unfortuantly they were just staying the one night, whereas we were doing the two! It was still a bit cloudy when we arrived here, so went and played some volleyball! When I say volleyball, its more a case of a piss about with a ball and a group of mates! :) Whilst on this island, we got taken on a tour of the local village which was pretty eye opening! Seeing how the local Fijians live was quite shocking and hard to imagine. Their houses were just a room with amatress on the floor, not hot water, no electricty etc. There were 600 people living in this village, and we got taken to their presidental lodge/town hall and got to meet the chief. He answered any questioned we had and told us all about the village, and we got to greet him and even have a photo with him! We wandered around the village and went into a room where there were like 8 woman sitting selling braclets and anklets etc...this was their living! The tour guide said we could buy stuff, and barter with them to get the price down.,..but when they were charging 5$ for an anklet (which isn't even 2 quid, there is no way you could even think of bartering!) We played lots more volleyball back at the resort, had curry for dinner! (!) played lots of drinking games with the boys and some Canadian girls we met, sat on the beach till 2am chatting about stars and generally life. But going to bed was never easy...as the generator that provides the whole resort with electricity turns off at 10.30pm everynight...so trying to find your way back to your lodge is always fun in the pitch black! We ate homemade cake on the beach by a local Fijian lady who makes tea and cake for 2 hours everyday! We were chilling in the sea on the walk back to our resort from having cake, and a local Fijian boy (probs about 4years ols) joined me, Kat and Guy in the sea...didn;t say a word, but started splashing us and swam about with us in the sea...cutest thing EVER! kat was trying to take a phot when another little boy came over (think maybe his little brother) and started taking photos on kats camera. He was just pointing it here, there and everywhere but was so cute! Had obviously never seen a camera before and was totally amazed by it! But after fearing that he would drop it in the sea, and he had already taken like 30 photos it was time to head back to our resort and leave the boys. me and Kat left our dorm on the second night and gatecrashed Guys dorm as he was in a person dorm by himself, and i shotgunned the double bed! AMAZING!
