Question: How many people can you fit into a Ford Excursion in the US? From what I see everyday. One.

Hi guys! So loving your messages & photos & hearing about your adventures. My friend Jay is also travelling around south america right now & my relatives just returned a couple weeks ago. I definitely see a journey of my own in the future. As far as news from MA - We are having one of the snowiest decembers on record, so the skiing has been excellent! christmas here was nice -hanging w/my niece & nephew and the rest of the family. feel very fortunate heading into 2008. Happy New Year!

You know chicken feet cost more than the breast meat here in China? Perhaps, that's why they are showing the feet. You should be glad to have hot chocolate for Christmas, we taught classes that day!

Hi guys! Hope all is well- sounds as though you are having a great time. What an experience---I can only imagine. We had a decent Christmas, thankfully we have a pretty empty house now, so that is a relief. We are attempting to plan out the begining of the new year...haven't gotten very far yet.
Its been pretty cool in temps here. Average day is 62, and nights are cold. Sucks to run heater so much. No new job yet for me, but thats ok.
The photos you are posting are great! How awesome it must be to tour the excavation sites. How is the food? Sounds as though you run into other travelers here and there. Thats fun.
Looking forward to more! Take care---wear your sunscreen! :)

I'm heading to Guatemala to escape the consumption version of the holidays and hike some volcanoes. Considering heading a little south after that. It would be fun to bump into each other. . . are you going to C.A. or continuing down the continent? The blog is great. Thanks for sharing your trip with us.

Well, I am mad beacuse i wrote a whole paragraph to you guys and then i hit something and it went away so now i have to recall what i just wrote all over again!
These places look wonderful! I remember learning about a few during my spanish classes back in high school. wayy cool. You guys missed out on a real scarborough treat over thanksgiving. the food was great. and Kaylin was a riot. She kept stealing all the m&ms from brit's room, but was too afraid to go by herself so she kept asking different people to take her to get them. haha. well anyway, everyone misses you, especially my dad, so in that case you should take a boat over here and visit us in the foot of snow we just got!
Okay, Misss you guys!
Love, Sam

Being ignorant of most things "jungle" we went to Wikipedia to learn about anacondas. Turns out that "The Latin name for Anaconda is Eunectes (from the Greek "Eυνήκτης", meaning "good swimmer")". In other words, take care when bathing in the water in which you saw the anaconda!! Snowing here in Newburyport...six inches so far...don't you miss it??

Watching those leaf cutter ants reminds me of the San Diego morning commute. I think we have de-evolved.
