We had a night in Durban in a bed in a dorm but after so long camping for some reson could not sleep. Onto Saint Lucia, first day we arrived did little but hang around the hostel a really good hostel with a great bunch of people. We went out to a pub that was through a fish and chip shop a good idea for the late night munchies. One young girl with us threw up in the bathroom and then left. We could not find her and even tried knocking on her room. In the morning in turned out she had gone to another bar. The hedonsim of youth.
I got up early in the morning for an early morning walk in the World Heritage Park. The guide was the manager of the hostel and he was very good. I saw hippos with there mouths open and even managed a couple of okay pictures. Later in the morning the weather was not that promising but we went to the beach anyway. It was a very nice beach the sea was warm considering no sun was out. We spent three hours actually on the beach no sun but still warm. Later that afternoon however it did start to rain. After dinner we went on night drive saw lots of bucks and bushbabies but no hippos. It was still raining when we got back and the next morning it was still raining, the tent is holding up well. When the rain did stop that afternoon we went out on a game walk we saw lots of bucks that kept springing away from us. We also saw a few mongoose that stood on there hindlegs like Meercats.
Next morning it is still raining I do not think it is going to stop. Saint Lucia was a very nice place enjoyed the walks a lot. A shame about the rain as we wanted to go snorkelling. Fortunatley the hostel had wet weather stuff like table tennis (I won 3-2), table football and pool. We even fell back on conversation sometimes. Next we are going to Swaziland hopefully it will be dry as the tent is still wet.
