It was very windy when we arrived in Plettenberg Bay we just about managed to get the tent up. Next day we headed off to Robben Cape National Park. To get there we had to walk an hour along beach it was nice walk on the beach. Great views of the penisula, Plettenberg Bay and of the expensive beachside properties. Inside the park the walk was all along the cliffs it was up and down but not to hard work. We got to see lots of seals and seabirds. On the West side of the penisula was an island connected just by a beach very picturesque. After the four hour walk on the penisula I went down to cave that had been excavated as it had been inhabited for over ten thousand years. You got to walk down in to the dig it was interesting enough to merit the walk down and back up again. The walk back along the beach dragged and we were both feeling it when we got back to the hostel. Had a well deserved few drinks that night.
In the morning Keeley stayed at the hostel while I went to Monkey Land with some people from the hostel. Monkeyland is a sanctuary for well monkeys it was ok. I do not think Keeley would of liked the suspension bridge or the fact you were guided around so just as well she stayed at the hostel. The Gibbon was the one I liked best found in South East Asia we never saw one when we were there. Ringtailed Lemurs were everywhere it seemd a zoo in Sweden had to many and so sent them here, they loved the camera. Back in Plettenberg bay we almost went out for lunch but ended up sharing a takeaway pizza. Next stop Storms River for some much anticipated black water tubing.
