Hi everyone!! Well backpacker life has gone up in the world!! My mum and David came out to Singapore and Bintan Island to visit us for a week and we had a superb time together. Singapore was great to explore. A fascinating modern city, with interesting Colonial district and lively Chinatown and Little India. We had some delicious meals out and particularly enjoyed the speciality of the region, Peppered Crab, even if it was very messy!! Highlights were the Zoo and Night Safari - amazing!! The zoo is really well set up in a rainforest setting and the animal look very natural. The Night Safari, the only one of its kind in the world, allows you to see the nocturnal animals in their natural environment. From Singapore, we headed for a week of bliss and the luxury Bintan Lagoon Resort. We are not sure that they had ever seen backpackers before!! We really enjoyed a holiday within WT, living in style, eating in abundance and relaxing by the huge pool. What a fab week and it was really lovely to spend it with mum and David. Back to proper backpacking now!! Oh well... Hope you are all doing well, love, A&J xx
