Sorry it took me a while to write this blog, but I have been worried about my grandma's health. I am glad to report that she is recovering well from her surgery:). The last couple of week's at St. Anne's have been busy to say the least. I now understand that my job duties at St. Anne's are way beyond strictly counseling. I am proud to inform that I have completed other tasks such as playing with the children, reading them stories, feeding them, and cleaning them up. I also have been filling in for the secretary at times, and I have become the oficial beading teacher. At the beginning I wasn't sure of what to make out of my new duties, but as time passes I think that whatever is asked from me, I should do it as this is part of my experience. I'm also feeling happy that I've built a relationship with some of the ladies. At lunch time sometimes we sit and talk about what's going on in their minds....I call this "informal counseling sessions" or just an ear to be there for them. On another note I keep on exploring this beautiful land. A couple of weeks ago I went hiking, and although I felt like the life was leaving out of my body, I was able to make it to the top to crawl inside a cave, and I was able to take some spectacular pictures from the top of the mountain. Last weekend I had the opportunity to visit Robben Island....lots of emotions there and still confused about human nature. I can't believe it's already been over a month!. Cheers from CapeTown
