Arrived in Melbourne at about 6.30, checked into hotel backpak not the nicest of hostels but managed to surive after a couple of drinks with the people from the tour and Dave from the Whitt Sundays. The ext morning Dave helped me carry my bags (they are now extreamly heavy) across town to the cleanest place inmelbourne its like a travelodge with dorms i have my own en-suite bathroom (well i share it with another a girl, but its not a mile down the hall way!) The was trying to make an appearance for the first time since i left Carins so i headed to St Kilda Beach it was rather chilly and so many flies, so instead i headed for the sunday markets - frenzy and funky fur wool here pa!) Went to the Neighbours triva night (it had to be done!) and met Lyn Sculley, Dillion and Boyd before watching Karl Kennedy's band play (he starts touring ENgland on monday so watch out peps!)
Met Nicole (my friend from Thailand) for lunch in a scrummy Italian down the backstreets of melbourne (it's also where they hide all the bars so i discovered) She was a great tour guide and introduced me to the beauties of the city. I ventured to the Mueseum to checked out an old neighbours set (The robinsons kitchen) and then to the aquriam which was amazing i couldn't believe how close i was to sharks and stingrays fortunatly the glass between us looked pretty thick! Watched the sun set from the top of the observation deck.
Like all english tourists of course i had to go and visit Ramsey Street it was much smaller than it looks on the show. Stopped by the school and Grease Monkeys too to fill up on some gossip!
