Raj: We had a fantastic day today at Brela Beach, renowned as one of Croatia's best beaches, and it didn't disappoint. Although only 60km from our apartment, it was a frustrating start as the journey took 2 hours in standstill traffic plus another long while to find a park. A majestic setting awaited when we arrived at the beach. Loads of people and not much space had us walking around a bit until we could find a small spot with a little shade, before we were able to enjoy the crystal clear warm waters for the rest if the day. We made the most of it as sadly this was our last coastal visit until Greece in a month's time.
From here we head inland - to Zagreb (Capital of Croatia) tomorrow, and then onto Lake Bled (Solvenia), Austria, Prague (Czech Republic), Germany, Netherlands and Belgium. These past few weeks have been very relaxing (more like a 'holiday') as I've managed a few sleep-ins, day time snoozes and enjoyed my beers.
Anouk: Yesterday we had a blobbing day and went to a new beach near our apartment. When we arrived it wasn't that busy. I had a swim and saw some tiny fish. Harley and I then tried some fishing but the hook fell off when it got stuck in some rocks. We went to another beach and had another swim. When I was walking along the beach I found a piece of marble shaped like a pyramid.
Today we did the same thing at a new beach a few hours away. It was a long drive but we were all happy when we got there. I swam out real deep, all the way to the buoys (I even went a bit passed them). This is the deepest water in the sea I have ever been in, over 4 metres. I saw bigger fish and four sea anemones and lots of black sea cucumbers. I am a bit sad as we won't be swimming in the sea again for a month.
Harley: Today we had a fun time at Brela Beach. We did loads of swimming. The sea got deep quickly and the water was really clear and cooling. We saw sea anemones, sea cucumbers and lots of different sized fish. I am sad this is the last beach we'll visit for a while.
