Hey hey hey,
Well after just reading Robs blog i know i am going to struggle to inform and entertain you as much but instead ill just tell you what i have been upto. (of which i remember)
i was in two minds whether to update my blog today as "this week i have been mostly....... drinkin" and as fun as it was i cant imagine its that exciting to read about, but if i dont update my blog today then there's no chance ill rememener what i did.
Ok so when i last updated this we were staying in our lovley pad at the holiday inn and that night joined our Friends in the Kanga guest house for a night on the goon. Fun was had by all and hangovers were suffered the next day. The next day we headed to manly to find accomodation for 4 nights and to check out what it had to offer. We managed to book in for 4 nights and that night went out with Sam and she broke the fantastic news to us that we can stay at hers over Christmas which is great news considering prices increases over the festive period for hostels but also means we get to stay in a nice house, cook for ourselves, do our washing and use the interenet! (i love you Sam). Sam lives in Dee why and at the end of her street is a beatiful beach (wowzas!). I am sooooo greatfull that her and Seals are letting us stay until the 4th, which is when we hope to move on and do Byron bay (which i keep hearing is awesome) then the Whitsundays and frasier island and we will need to then book our flight to New zealand. (eeek cant wait) Anyway that night we went for drinks around manly and were told when entering the last bar that we were on the verge of being intoxed and to be carefull??? they really are starnge out here, you cant seem to even look like you have sniffed a drink or that your having fun otherwise you will be refused entry or kicked out. (poor Rob has been at the receiving end of this ridiculousness a few times, they like the girls better)
I absolutely love Manly and our 4 days there were thoroughly enjoyed. the beaches are amazing and it has a nice atmoshere as its a ferry ride away from the big city and it feels like your on holiday when you hop on the ferry to get there.
Friday night was spent in the hostel watching the bodyguard whilst Rob reading his book occasionally grunted "this is s***/awful" or words to that effect. And then it was Saturday. Saturday was jam packed, the lovely Sam came and picked us up from our hostel and took us on a tour of some of her local beaches and then drove us up to Sunny Beach where home and away is filmed, for those of you who havent seen the pics yet check em out on FB. We then headed to the newport arms where we sat on a balcony overlooking the sea and i had calamari and chips which took 0.3 seconds to cook. Lovely Jubbly. Anyway we headed back early as a night of fun was to be had meeting with Sarah and Mark in Surrey hills to wet the babies head. WE HAD A WICKED TIME. It was so nice to catch up with old friends and have a good old chin wag followed by a knees up and we met Paula, Marks cousin who is also travelling and is lovley. Admittedly i dont remember much of the night but the pictures show fun was had and the fact that we missed what we thought was our last ferry home says it all when in fact there were loads more ferries to come. (we only missed it as we went to get a mac d's after already having Pizza too) so then had to pay a stupid amount of money in a taxi home.
The next day in attempt to cure our hangovers we invited Tina and the boys over to Shelly beach in manly, where they have free BBQ's for you to use so we stocked up on cheap meat, beer and goon and made our way over. Again we had an amazing day and decided to continue the fun by getting a ferry back to Kings cross and going for more drinks and bunking in with them. Rob had to go home that morning all the way to manly to check out before 09:30 so we didnt lose our deposit for the keys! LOL!
Monday was spent feeling rough but we managed to get a room booked for a week in the same hostel as the friends we have made. MO, Connar, Jason, Scott and the lovely Sweetness Tina. So all is good.
On Tuesday we all had a wander around the city and tried to come up with plans for new year and Christmas (which at the moment look like big festive dinner xmas eve, beach xmas day, not sure about new years eve as soooo much happening and Field day new years day which is like a mini festival) We then bought ten litres of goon which isnt much considering Scott drank 4 litres the other night and we all had a laugh in the garden and a few of us carried on in Town after (rob didnt come i think he is sick of being knocked back, so he stayed with the others in the hostel and carried on the drinking in there).
Nothing much has happened since then other than getting the keys from Sam ready to move in on Monday and having a coast walk from the beach near her house to fresh water beach and then we came back. Oh and today i have been to town shopping for Robs xmas pressie with an agreed amount of $50 as any less would get you very little. I walked around China town, down to darling Harbour, then to Paddys market and up to the another shopping centre and chilled on the park for a bit it wasnice to spend a bit of time on my own for a bit to be honest. (As much as i love you Rob)
Tonight looks like its going to be another night in the hostel drinking Goon and having a laugh. Wahoo. Mum, Dad dont worry my liver is fine i am looking after myself and having every other day off! LOL! (joking some days i have two days off)
If i dont get chance to write on here before xmas i hope you all get what you want from Santa and have a fab day. And all the best for the new year.
Peace out and take care x x
