Hello Again,
So here i am in Sydney. This is my 5th night here tonight so thought i best catch you up on what i have been doing.
The flight here was great an hour and 10 mins, i slept the whole way - Bliss. We arrived pretty late so just headed straight to our hostel and got our heads down for the night. Since we have been out here we havent done much "chilling out" so thats exactly what we did the next day. We spent the day on Bondi beach read and listened to music and came home that night stayed in watched fight club and went to bed. Yes exciting i know but doing little is all we can affod out here.
The next day we were meeting Robs freind in Manly so got the train from kings cross to circular Quay and a ferry ride to manly. The transport is pretty good here, if you get a week ticket or a day ticket you can use buses trains and ferrys (we have bought a week pass so we can go where we want when we want) Manlys beaches are beatifull, we had a walk around and walked to a little beach i think called shell beach which was like paradise. Dont know if i have mentioned this before but they have free BBQ's everywhere for you to use in parks or at the sides of beaches and as it was SUnday everyone seemed t be making the most of it, i cant imagine they would last long in leeds. After strolling around we then Met with Sam and had a few drinks in a place that brewed there own beer and then some yacht club that Sam signed us in for. After saying bye to Sam and her fella we headed to Bondi Junction to meet Kelly ( a friend me and Rob met on the great coast road) We treid to get in some Irish bars but they said Rob was too intoxed?? to get in. Hilarious, i had drank the same as him and neither of us were drunk. We then headed to another bar where the same happened. As you can imaigine Rob was pissed of to say the least and spoke with the manager who let us in eventually. Seems your not allowed in anywhere in Bondi if you have had a drink - whats the point.
The next day we went to see the sights, we went to see the Opera house, the Harbour Bridge, The Botanic Gradens, and the art museum (some crazy modern s*** in there that dont get me wrong is interesting but i just dont get it)
Yesterday we did the walk from Bondi Beach to coogee and stopped of at this beautifull little beach on the way (dam cant remembber what it was called) and caught some Rays, Managed to catch a bit of Sun to say the least and have sepnt all day today covered up. I had factor 20 on but its simply not strong enough for the sun over here its leathal. Anyway all yest we spent waiting in excitment knowing we had a luxury room to stay in that Rob had managed to book us in on at the holiday inn on his loyalty card that he had when working away with HBOS for free 2 nights. So we turned up with our backpacks on covered in sand and were greeted like royalty the guy at reception was like "i have upgraded your room Mr Ward i hope you dont mind but you both have queen size beds" Best news in ages. We thought we couldnt not enjoy the room by going out on the piss so instead bought in some tinnies and soom goon and sat and watched telly in our luxurios pad (and you should see the view from it) i know your prob thinking i am sad getting excited about a holiday inn but if you had seen some of the places i have stayed and ppl i have shared rooms with you would understand i am sure. So we have the place for 1 more night tonight and we will maybe invite a few ppl around one of which we met in KL before heading out later.
We hope to move on and stay in manly for a few nights as of tomorrow and then we are going to have to find accomodation over Christams and new year. As dont think either of us can be bothered getting jobs so will prob leave after new year and head to NZ.
Anyways again thanks for the messages, keep in touch and ill add the pics when i can on FB.
