Got up early this morning without the assistance of Jackies' alarm clock, although Toni woke up with the sounds of grinding radiators at 3 o'clock and 5 o'clock (she thought that it was one of the giants from the Causeway rapping on her window, as we were on the third floor it would have to be a giant or as Jackie said a burglar ha ha).
Got showered, dressed and packed and went down for breakfast. Ordering was easy or so we thought but when it was delivered we had to rearrange it ourselves as the order was so confused over every plate although we did get the coffee right.
Met up with Gavin again who offered to take up on the guided "Trouble Spot" tour of the Bogside (for a small fee of £4 each, as we're from Yorkshire we negotiated the price and bought him a cuppa instead ha ha), it made us reflect on the past history which was big news as we were growing up. What outstanding artwork on the buildings, it was surreal. We passed a building with gaelic writing on expecting Gavin to be able to translate, not a fecking chance - what sort of tour guide is he, we didn't laugh at him much!!
Big thank you to Gavin for giving up his time and making our visit memorable (love you long time Gavin ha ha).
Got in the car to make our way back to the airport, needed a restroom stop, pulled up in Limavady and found a cafe, so thought we'd have a coffee but oh no it came with a complimentary peanut butter snack cake, again it would be rude to refuse, Dawn French moment and now we all feel a little sick, hope there's not too many bumps and bends on the way to the airport. Just paid for the pleasure of feeling ill and it cost us more than our full Ulster breakfast, another set of robbing dogs ha ha.
Arrived at George Best Airport, went to the check in desks which are now self service and put our case on the scales. Oops again it was over the allowance but was only 20.6kg, the excess weight allowance charge was £15, so we dragged the case back off and re-distributed it again into the rucksacks (de ja vu Leeds Bradford airport ha ha). Case reweighed, checked in and gone, we went through to the departure lounge and had a lovely chinese meal before boarding the plane home.
Thoroughly enjoyed Ireland with definately be coming back xx

Sensei Tony and I have never had as much food presented to us as we did when we did our first teaching visit. Every time we sat down food appeared I think we put half a stone on that weekend. Laugh!! Glad you have enjoyed your Northern Ireland experience. Luv Sensei
