Our World Cruise
After another day's sailing we arrived at Wellington, the capital of New Zealand. It's harbour again formed by the sea flooding the Volcanic crater. Next to our mooring was the Westpac Trust Stadium where the rugby football Internationals are held. We took a shuttle bus into town. As it was only 8.00am we found a lovely French Cafe for a pastry and espresso coffee. Boosted, we walked to and around the museums of the 'City & Sea', and the 'Te Papa'. Then on to the cable car which took us up to the Observatory, Botanical Gardens and splendid views over the city. On our walk back down to the ship we passed the Parliament Buildings, the new Cathedral opened by the Queen and the Old St. Paul's Cathedral built in 1866 of local timber.
