We then sailed quickly to Dunedin in the South Island to get on the prestigious and historic train for the Taieri Gorge. Although it was raining we managed to see much of the rugged and spectacular scenery. However, we were very disappointed not to be able to get out to view the picturesque Dunedin Station.
We have now passed our most southerly and furthest position from home, sailing across the Tasman Sea towards Australia. The sun is shining, the ship is swaying to the rhythm of the sea, and we are thinking of the splendid time we had in New Zealand with its friendly people and superb scenery.
