So I am now part of 15 people travelling until I reach Hanoi in 20, how much I had missed adult conversation! Sharing my room with a chatty friendly German, who's only annoying habit is to ring home lots of her dad's phone...mostly as I wish I could as well!
We have crossed the Cambodian border, which was an experience in its own right! I was so glad I was not doing it alone as it involved walking through a bustling market through 4 checkpoints. The Cambodian government now has all my finger prints and 4 different photos in varying sweaty states! Other than crossing the border and the 10 hours on the bus we ventured to a local village near Siem Reap for dinner, the food was amazing but my highlight was the local children dancing to hangman style!
This morning at 4am local time we ventured to watch the sun rise over Ankor wat....as we had heard it was really something special! I doubting photos do it justice but hey! We are back there all just back at the hotel for breakfast (rice and noodles!) Now sitting by the small pool...could get used to this luxury but it won't last! Hoping to see the faces of bayon and then finally of for a beer with my tour friends! :)
