Well Ankor Eat is everything and more than expected...watching the sun rise was amazing and then we managed to explore 4 other temples on the huge site including the faces of bayon (my favourite) and the temple Lara Coft was filmed in!
We have also visited a floating village where the people do not have the legal right to live in Cambodia so live on boats on the lake in the centre of the country. It was a surreal experience observing them farm crocodiles for their skins and meat and coming face to face with extreme child begging led by parents. We then journeyed 6 hours on the bus to Phnom Penn, with Lionel Ritchie and other cheesy old love songs in Cambodian Careoke.
So one full day in Phonm Penn we have visited the disturbing and moving killing fields and s21 prison...worth a visit but desperately sad. And to think that it happened within the last 40 years. After a rest after the visit we went and explored the town centre and did some shopping at the markets.
Off to Shianoukville tomorrow for the beaches, bit different from the last few days but it will hopefully be good. I am hoping we still have internet, fingers crossed! Missing you all xxx
Ps. photos are hard to upload here, will have to do it all when I get home!
