10:45 german time and had the first night were stu didn't have to get up for a pee but it was raining all night. Still slept pretty well till blaze woke up which to be fair to him was an hour later than normal 8am. Took dogs out and then came back to the fire on and hot bread rolls in the oven.
I made a fruit salad to start then warm rolls something the Europeans seen to have right.
Stu got back into bed and I got on with my house wifely duties. Washed and cleaned up then made dinner from all left overs, pasta, sausages and potato so a sausage surprise it is then. And then washed and cleaned up again, and yes it has to be in that order as space is at a premium.
11am now stu is up and off to Frankfurt we head.
What a day!!! The sun came out and through the forest we went. I think the famous saying was "I've been here before it's this way". After a 3 hour trek in the lovely woods we ended up about 10 minutes down the road have got quite close to Frankfurt asked for directions from a crazy German lady with 2 dogs that could understand that stu was a tree climber but couldn't understand that we had to huskys. "what's the reason?". After a few more minutes explaining where we were from that we had been walking for a few hours trying to get to Frankfurt which she also couldn't believe we should of really known not to take her word for it as she made the peace sign and wished us on our good journey, took a few wrong turns and ended up pretty much back where we started.
Was beginning to see the reason that people couldn't believe that we were walking into town now. Like a maze. At least the dogs were getting a good workout. After a short debate on what to do next I had already decided that we were getting on a train.
So hopped on a train 10 minutes nice and easy and in Frankfurt we were.
We headed straight to get some food in a nice cafe. We sat outside and no sooner did our bums hit the seats the dogs were nearly asleep, well until the food came out.
We did a few things in town then to Globetrotter the biggest out door shop going. Got a few essentials like a MAP and a axe as long as my leg. What more could a girl ask for huh.
Walked down the river at sunset and with no questions asked headed for the train station.
The dogs don't really like the escalators but were so tired after being out for about 9 hours by the time we got onto the train they didn't seem to care.
