Probably one of the best night outs we've had in Frankfurt.
So the day started with Stu and Jon working whilst I had a run with the dogs and then when all was done we headed into Frankfurt for a bite to eat before Jon had to catch his flight. We had some grate food at Ve Piano and then put Jon on the train to the airport as in 2 years here has never been on the train before(pretty good going really).
We wondered round the shops for a bit longer and then headed back as Danny asked us round. By the time we picked up the dogs and started to head out again it was about 6pm completely forgetting they had kids to feed and bed so after talking to Danny decided to make it another weekend. As we were already in Dreieich Buschlag Stu said we might as well go and see the sun set in Frankfurt so I could take some photos. Fab idea so off we went. When we arrived in town there was a beer and food festival going on. Lots of beer a bit of food and bands playing all down the high street. A great atmosphere.
We walked round to tire the dogs out until we could find a seat somewhere as it was incredibly busy.
Eventually I spotted somewhere so we quickly got a crepe and then sat down. Immediately the couple we sat next to started chatting, to the dogs obviously and then us. Luckily they spoke very good English as my german still isn't so good. We then spent the next 4 hours talking to this couple, drinking, laughing and being forced to try some extremely hot samosas that literally made my tougne and tips feel like they were going to burn off. Stu had sweat running down his head and a very runny nose. It turns out Sabines sister lives in Bristol and works for a pharmaceutical company. It is a very small world.
I think I had more beer than I've ever had before and probably will again. They very kindly gave us and dogs a lift back home. I look forward to seeing them at the oktoberfest.
Unforetuneatly not 1 photo did I take and no sun set was seen. O well looks like we will just have to do it again next weekend.
In contrast to that the woodland fair was not what I was expecting. The day seem to go well for The company. Little crowds formed as the demos were being done with quite alot of interest but not alot else was happening.
