Our plan was to hang around the campground for the day, do some swimming and get our laundry done. By 3:00 we had done all that and decided we wanted to go into Barcelona for the evening. Since the last bus back to the campground was too early, Tim wanted to drive.
Tim never ceases to amaze me! He drives like a born and raised European driver. We made our way in and found a parking lot. We were not 100% sure how far from the Rumbla we were but knew we were close. Our only hurry was trying to get back to the market by the dock before it closed at 8:00. We couldn't believe the endless amount of streets angling off, each one full of people enjoying the restaurants and bars. Every street is full of graffiti but somehow it fits. Just watching the variety of people in and of itself was fun.
We made it just in time before the market closed, (just about too late because we couldn't find a bathroom again!). Brennin browsed through the WW2 things, and Darius the fossils. Tim and I went back to the enamel that we liked, the sales lady recognized us and dropped her price by 45 euro, we bought it.
The rest of the evening we hung out by the marina, and on the Rumbla. We ordered pizza breads for supper and enjoyed the the energy of the street.
While we were eating we noticed the waiter communicating with the cook in the restaurant. Because the tables are in the middle of the road, they use sign language to order - funny. Less running back and forth I guess.
Walking back to our car was easy, and the later it got the busier the streets were. We came across some street performers breakdancing. None of us have ever seen breakdancing like it before!
We drove back to our campsite, leaving our car in the after hours parking.
