My last day in Prague was spent wandering around soaking up the last of this beautiful city. I found a cute underground pizza cafe for a late lunch before heading to the train station. My train was an overnight sleeper to Zurich and then another train to Milan. I was expecting to share a sleeper cabin but fortunately there were several empty ones so I had one to myself. Didn't make it any easier to sleep - I think I slept in lots of an hour here and there so by the time I got to Zurich I was already tired. Because the train ran late, my connecting train had already left so I had to change my ticket for a later train. It meant only waiting about an hour and a half but I was struggling to stay awake so it made the wait seem like forever. Finally on the almost empty train (yay) and if I thought I'd catch up on sleep on this 4 hour trip I was mistaken. The scenery was incredible so I was suddenly wide awake. Beautiful green Switzerland with goats, gorgeous houses and the cloud hanging over the tops of the mountains. Then into Italy and the Como region - oh my! I have a day trip booked for here so I can't wait for that. Then on into Milan and the busiest train station yet. Took me age to find the taxi stand (around a corner and no sign!) and the driver told me the trip would take longer than usual because Putin was in town and several streets were closed in the centre. But all good and it didn't take too long. My hotel is in a very quiet street but in a central location - very small room after my palatial apartment in Prague but it has everything I need. After freshening up and sleeping for an hour I went for a walk and had dinner in a nice little restaurant - spaghetti of course - had to be pasta right?
