A day spent by the pool and another two people join our merry band of four. A lovely couple from south Wales who pulled a funny face when we said we had camped in aberdare!
Not very eventful as you can imagine
Just an observation ... About 8 Turkish men aged between 20 and 30 , not in the same party but all joined together to play games in the pool ... No spitting no shouting no swearing no macho pranks just friendly fun. If it had been the same group if English men (late afternoon all inclusive resort) I would have tutted and left the area disgusted at their behaviour! Grumbling 'gives us Brits a bad name'
We found the harbour this afternoon and had drinks overlooking the sea in an altogether quieter more refined area.
Tried to take some pictures of boats for Annette but the security gave us some strange looks so after a decent beer and chai in proper glasses we moved on to get our starters.
We had decided we must try gözleme (please google I don't have the time to explain, I'm in holiday)
We found the most traditional place we could find with cushions on the floor surrounding low round tables and sensibly sat at the other side on proper chairs and tables ... (My poor old aching bones) Ordered in Turkish much to the amusement of our hosts
So for the equivalent if 2 Big Mac meals we had a very lush snack cooked by granny and mum who were squat on the floor in front of a huge round sliding table and huge round griddle.
The gozleme involve lots and lots of rolling of fag paper thin pastry into a huge circle that is then filled with whatever filling you fancy .... Grrr now I told you what they are!
