Presentation and Training Day
Today, the Sunrise crew headed to Guadalajara to deliver a fire truck and to do the presentation. They will be back tomorrow.
The rest of us headed out on the bus to pick up the Edson Rotary Fire Truck. We arrived at the fire station and the bomberos were in formation at attention. It was great to see. We did a formal presentation and expressed our deep feelings about the delivery. Then Vivian did the formal handing over the keys to the Fire Chief- for the last time. Then the majority of the Rotarians were for a leisure day, while the Edson crew and Harm started training. We did a thorough review of the truck and its operation. Paulina provided translation services. The bomberos were very good at the truck operation- it is in good hands. We got to see the original vehicle which was delivered by Victor and Wayne- the truck named after Paulina- Paulinas Pumper.
The Edson crew and Harm then went to Paulinas store to see the wood products. After lunch it was a trip to the Market and the Cathedral.
The evening was spent with the Bomberos of Mazatlan. The bomberos presented the Rotary Club of Edson with a plaque to celebrate the delivery of the fire truck.
