Third and final day at Adels Grove today. Another slow start to the morning which was nice, breakfast rolled into morning tea under the shady canopy of trees over our camp. The weather is just perfect up here. The nights cool off nicely for sleeping and here in 'the grove' the canopy of trees keep a beautiful temperature during the day, go for a walk or head out into the sunshine and you feel like a swim. We could definitely stay here longer if we had the time and it was definitely worth the drive!
Everyone headed back to Lawn Hill after morning tea to go to Indarri falls for a swim and Kayak. We decided to stay back and let Ed have a good sleep before heading out. After I put Ed down we went and got some fish and chips from The Shack again for lunch and relaxed a little. James played with his cars and asked us every 5 mins if we could go for a swim now.
When Eddie woke up we headed out to Lawn Hill. We ended up heading down to the closest swimming area rather than going out to the falls, it was much better here for the kids to have a swim and still a bit hot to do the walk out to the falls with 2 kids and a bag full of swimming gear. It was just beautiful in the water and the kids enjoyed swimming and looking for fish as the water was so clear.
After a while we decided to head out to the falls so we could have a kayak. We almost made it when we meet Andrew, Cynthia and Alex headed back, so we turned around and meet every one back at the swimming spot, left the kids behind and went for a quick paddle.
Even though we had been up the Gorge the day before in the boat, we got a totally different perspective form the kayak, you seemed so small compared to the huge walls of the Gorge. We went all the way to the falls and back, it was amazing.
Back to camp for dinner and bed and the reality that tomorrow we would be packing up and heading off to our next destination of Cloncurry.
