The trap was put out with the Prolite 25W Black Light bulb on one night and a Sylvania Mini-Linx Blacklight 20W on another night. They and stayed on all night. Night temps were between 10 and 13oC.
A good collection of moths were caught each night and the Orocrambus spp was very prominent again on both nights.
Notice the New Zealand version of the Silver Y, and also a Light Brown Apple Moth. The LBAM was in fact introduced to NZ from Australia in 1891 which was 45 years before it was found in the UK.
The Slender Owlet Moth was in fact found dead inside the lamp.
I am very happy if any ID's are corrected as these are all new to me.
