The Great Tit.
*dramatic pause*
Apparently the largest of the Tit family.
And there's the Blue Tit, sister to the Great Tit.
Now very intrigued, I continued to read: "This is something that no longer applies to young great tit.s in the city." What the..?!?! Then I read on: "Traffic noise and other urban noises have caused these birds to change their repertoire".
*phew* Yes people, I'm actually talking about a bird here. I was of course desperately trying to suffocate my giggles as I read this at the school where I go to every Wednesday afternoon. I dont think they should teach children that! What happened to Finches, Canaries and Lories? I dont think children should learn about tit.s at such an early age!? It was a rather weird afternoon at the school I must say. I was trying to pick a book that Salma could read and that I would actually understand so that she doesn't ask me "What does that mean?" and me not actually knowing. Like there's a book titled "Calamity with a fiend". WHAT?! She's nine people. Nine. Couldn't they just have called it "Fight with a demon" or better "Run for your life"? And with the accent! Good heavens! Like, i.e., the word "cloak" she pronounces "clock" so every time she reads "clock" I say "cloak" and then she repeats after me "clock". Very frustrating!
Other than the tit-shock and rainy weather things have been super great in London! In a very quick nutshell: Dianne left on Monday (back to SA) so it was a whole farewell weekend, which was fab! Saturday night we went to a Medieval Banquet and had deviine food! Was quite an experience and well worth it! Sunday we went to the Irish pub (again) (...her lips are liiiiiike, roses fair... hehe, had to put that song in your head di !!!) ;-)
Tonight I'm going to a Molton Brown launch party (how cool is that?!?!) - got a special invite and everything. Its for a new haircare product.. *sigh* Life's just great. Then tomorrow morning I have to be up before the chickens cause I'm going to an early morning guided tour of Antony Gormley's Blind Light exhibition at the Hayward Gallery. (Yep, I joined the art club). So I'll be walking around nodding and pretending like I understand what they saying and what they mean by "its upside down because of..." and "the light falls like that because..." and "the indepth meaning of this is..." In my mind I'll probably be thinking "What the h*ll is that?! It is SO ugly!" I'll try not to pull my Liesl-thinks-you're-stupid-face. (Which makes me think of when my yoga instructor said the other day "Special faces are being pulled in class again *looking-straight-at-Liesl* try to smile from the inside").
Chat to you all soon!! Oh, and SEE YOU SOON!!! Only 86 more sleepies then I'm in SA!!!
