Today we had to get up extra early, we had to be at the dock ready for the snorkel trip by 8.
We checked in, got our equipment and waited on the deck until it was time to board. The attached picture is the view we had on the deck while waiting. I am not sure why, but the people managing the desk were telling everyone that everyone got stung on the trip the day before when I know only one person got stung. Do they not want business? Not sure what their strategy is.
We had a clear day with perfect weather for the trip. The snorkeling was awesome!!! We saw a lot of colorful fish, sharks and barracudas. On the way out we saw a couple dolphin pods swim by (video attached). Hubby did not snorkel so he took lots of pictures from the boat.
After lunch we headed to Key West - we visited all the known sites since it was Nick's first time to the keys. We also visited the Butterfly Conservatory. I had a couple of butterflies land on me.
After dinner we headed to Malory square where we stroll watching the entertainers waiting for Sunset. Gil got called by one of them for a stunt - this is not the first time he gets picked for something like this. After a beautiful sunset we headed back to the RV.
Tonight was the night of the scheduled star gazing. We were tired from the events of the day, but there was no way I was going to miss it! Nick and Kati decided they would accompay me into the darkness. Even though it was not raining where we were and the skies were clear to the West, we could see that there were storms to the East of us. Would they cancel or come out? We headed to the parking lot where the event was scheduled - waited around, but no one showed up I was sad we were not able to see the sky with the telescopes, it still looked very pretty to the naked eye. Oh well - that means I have to come back some day.
