3 days in KL to finish the trip, wasn't sure what to expect but looked like quite a cool city.
As per usual we did a massive stomp around the city on the first day, clocked up about 4 hours of walking! Saw all the sites, the two towers, observation deck, parks and markets.
We were staying next to China town, quite run down but good to have a mooch around.
First thing that hit us was the crazy drink prices, they were pushing the same as back home and that was even on the street stalls. A big scout of the local area and we found a cheap little off licence, much to the pleasure of all the others guys in our hostel when we spread the word!
Also hit Nando's on the first night, sooo good! On par with the Nando's back home!
Second day we visited the Batu caves, not bad but very touristy and run down. Made a change to the city for a while and the Roti bread from the Indian restaurant outside was really good!
Quickly made mates with loads of people in the hostel, from all parts of the World. Bit of a party the first night and had everyone in our 'prison cell' room for a drink on the second!
Was also good to meet up with Anna, after travelling Laos and Vietnam together with us all.
Worth a stop over in KL but nothing more than a day or so. Onto to Bangkok now and the big send off for me and Sonny! 3 months travelling together so will be an emotional goodbye!
Sure we'll see out Bangkok in style, great city!
