Paul and I set off on our own; a route planned to the last detail and a camp site booked by his lovely wife Clair. The ride was good it was dry the roads not to busy and I really enjoyed the bike. The downer came when it began to rain as we pulled into the camp site.As we pulled in we noticed that the hamlet was called 'Knights in the bottom'.The tents up in double quick time a quick wash and change and it was into the clubhouse marvellous.I am not a great sleeper at the best of times and sleeping in a wet cold and windy field on a wafer thin mattress does not help. Two and a bit hours of sleep and a shave latter we were on the road again, packed up and heading for Pompey. It is my son Tom's idea to join the Royal Marines so I thought I would head for Royal Marines museum.Just as we got there two coach loads of coffin dodgers disembarked into the queue in front of us so we abandoned the idea. We watched the kite surfers while had a coffee and pushed off and did the whole coast road back to Brighton.A good day.
