So we took a water taxi into the National Park Pretty smooth ride out.. Saw seals and Split apple Rock! (Rock in the ocean that looks like an apple spit in two!) It was high tide so we actually managed to go up Falls River! The beaches and lagoons on the walk were just gorgeous! Also, we were so lucky with the weather! The sea and sky were so blue! It was a pretty easty walk around the coast... We did it too fast! Oops! It's funny how the average age of people travelling in Oz was about 20ish, NZ, however is a totally different story... Whilst in the camper.. It seemed like everyone travelling was retired.. 65+! That day was such a good day! To finish it off... We had steak and onions and bought some chips, sorry.. fries from the restaurant! Mm!
To the glaciers!
So, the drive down seemed to take forever. Also had a very near miss with a truck taking a corner too quickly and rolling on the road. I hadn't seen it until Em went... Oh my God! And there was a truck flying towards us. So. Slammed on the breaks, luckily the car behind didn't crash into us and the truck stopped about 3m ahead of us! We were so lucky... Called the ambulance. Stayed there for a while, then on the road... Driving quite slow! To be safe for sure.
