Firstly, a BIG happy birthday to my little bro Jordan and my mate John who both shared a birthday on Monday.
Hehehe... Sime, you crack me up. Can't say I've ever had the pleasure of living in Cranburne, but you paint one vivid and inviting picture. However, with winter closing here I can relate to some of Philip's winter of 1984. We've had lots of snow over the past couple of weeks. It was beautiful watching the snow fall and it does look impressive when the back yard is covered, but come evening most of it has melted leaving a wet, muddy slush on the footpaths. I think we've pretty much had the last of it and although it was a wonderful novelty it was equally a pain to live with. London comes to a grinding halt when it's cold. Everyone decides to drive to work instead of taking transport so the buses crawl along and the tube has constant failures and delays that slowly drive you mad.
On a happier note, I watched the DVD of the wedding (without Lewis who still hasn't been home yet). Angela looked radiant and you Sime... you looked pretty chuffed with the whole event, and so you should be! Very touching that both the groom and best man mentioned us in their speaches and guttered that we couldn't be there in person. I know I sent you an e-mail at the time but obviously I regret not sending a special telegram. The guilt trip hit me hard when Duck made his speach which was an epic journey to match the TV show "this is your life". Still, he was the right man for the job and to cap it all off, it was priceless to watch the guys pull out their best moves for the nut bush and then go on to fight for the garter belt before crushing Duck with a stacks on. Top work fellas! Funny stuff.

The rumble of a V8 going down the road, most likely a HQ Premier. Backfiring, yet still squeaking the tyres in between gears. Then, coming to a screaching holt, the driving yells...F@#k@#g little yobos. Running up the road in stubbies and a wife beater are two teenage lads all white, while in the back ground the HQ roars off into the distance. Gunshot. No just another V8 out of sync. This time the all conquering SLR5000. Now out side smoking a Winfield red you hear a dog going another dog, two more American Pitbulls Terriers fighting for the top dog status of the neighbourhood.
