Thanks to everyone who showed concern by contacting me last week. It's a wonderful feeling to know that people think of you and care for you. It made me miss my family and friends back in Oz. I almost thought about booking a flight home but have since changed my mind.
Almost everything seems to be back to normal in London. Bicycle sales have risen and some underground services aren't running yet but there's a general consensus that there's very little we can do to stop this from happening and we have to keep using the tube so the only thing to do is get on with our lives. We had 2 minutes silence yesterday (being a week since the attacks) which was a sombre experience and Kings Cross station has memorial flowers and cards all around it, but to quote a cliché that's been doing the rounds; Londoners are a resilient bunch. They were bombed in WWII and have experienced terrorism by the hands of the IRA for decades so it's nothing new to them. In fact, it seems there was a lot more hype back in Australia than here. At the time I read on The Age web site that over 300 people were reported dead, meanwhile on the BBC they had 8 confirmed dead. I think the total reached 55 but it just goes to show how the media in Australia sensationalise everything. So wonder everyone I heard from back home seems so concerned. I also noticed a stark difference between the news reports here to those of September 11, mainly filtered through CNN. The BBC and other news broadcasters are extremely reluctant to blame anyone although the old Al Qaeda name comes up occasionally. Fortunately Londoners have managed to avoid rushing in to any foolish vindication or retaliation towards the Muslim community. Every spokes person has come forward saying that the attacks are not Islamic because someone who can do this to innocent people can not rightly call themselves a Muslim. Nuff said!
Anyway my Photos from Turkey are finally uploaded to the site. There are over 160 so my apologies to those with a slow connection. If you'd like a high resolution copy of any of the photos just drop me an e-mail with the photo title and I'll see what I can do.
I'll add the photos from Greece soon.
Cheers!

Hi everyone
Just to let you all know I'm okay. As I'm sure you're all aware there have been a series of terrorist attacks this morning in London. I was working at home so no where near the explosions on the public transport system to the east side of London.
Hope you're all well. Take care and I'll be in touch. Lots of love.

Hey Dad, sounds like you're leaving me behind in the technology race. Not surprised... I don't even have an iPod, the must have toy from last season! My prioritty at the moment is looking for a job. Just working on The Birthday Party web site and it's coming along nicely. Thanks for the eBooks, I'll let you know if I need any. Look after yourself and say hi to the family for me. Zane

Hi Zane,
Happy to read that you are well and keeping busy.
Looking forward to more photos of your adventures.
Navman works great, except when it wants to argue about a better route than the one I know.
Mainly use it when visiting country towns - saves carrying maps.
It would also be useful in travelling overseas as the maps are easily downloadable (apparently)
I now have a program that converts DVD to PocketPC, ie; DVD viewable 60mm X 75mm movie on a 512Meg SD memory card. I aptly name it "squinting theatre".
Last week I hired and converted a movie and viewed it whilst waiting to renew my license at the Road Traffic Authority. Now waiting in long queues is not so painful - lol
'tis a shame that as I get older with failing eyesight, technology becomes more interesting and smaller.
Some e-Books that maybe of interest to you:
* 10 Insider Secrets to a Winning Job Search (2 Meg)
* 201 Best Questions to Ask on Your Interview (0.5 Meg)
* Dreamweaver MX 2004 The Missing Manual (15 Meg)
* The Mac OSX v.10.2 Jaguar (22Meg)
lots of love and missing you too
