This aritlce keeps it real, no doubt.
Larry, we find the eating places mostly on Yelp.com. That's where we found the Love Muffin.
Karen, Yeah, Prairie Dog Town looked like the kind of place where the owner would throw rattlesnakes at you. I'm OK with not seeing it but Connor really wanted to. Sorry, Connor. Maybe next time.
Hey, it looks as if you're about halfway there (here? whatever...)! We think it was worth the long ride, the snow, everything--just to experience that ball o' twine!! Enjoy your KC BBQ, too! This may be the last msg you receive from us, as you'll be parting ways soon (tomorrow?). (Just kidding, T.J.! We won't forget you!)
Just read your latest blogs. Thank God you weathered the storm. You weren't so lucky about the prairie dogs, though. Bummer :( We're getting 2-3 inches of snow tonight--and it's NOT an April Fool's joke! Can't wait for you guys to get home--we miss you a lot!!! Mom's been staying awake, praying for your safety until 2 or 3:00 AM. Come home quick so the circles under her eyes don't become permanent! BTW, Dad doesn't even realize that you're in the process of driving across the country. Status quo, right?!!!
Thanks for following along with us. Here are some responses to your comments.
Matt, nice photos! I really liked Moab/Arches and your tacky, roadside stuff.
Dunmore Zales, yes, Chili is packed. We can't see out the back. Thank God for side view mirrors. Besides, what's behind us is not important. And bowling? Already? Let me settle into the Scranton lifestyle gradually, please. :-)
Keep those cards and letters coming!
Hi, we're back!!! Seems as if you're having lots of fun. Maybe the burgers were only so-so because they were "dino-burgers"? A Joe Bonadio here:Greg and family are coming here the weekend of April 8-9. Dust off your bowling shoes, guys--we're in for a swingin' weekend!!!
Awesome pictures! We're enjoying your trip along with you. The car looks pretty loaded; how do you see behind you?? Maybe there's not much traffic in the desert?!!! :) Mom will be calling you more than once a day, to keep you awake and entertained--you lucky boys! :) Love you both lots!!!!!!
Way to go guys!
Enjoy yourselves. You deserve it.
I drove across America three times in my youth. Highly recommend it. See if you can find these:
