Zak and Mel's Excellent Adventure
Hi everyone. Just a short (I promise!) postcard to let you know we're are both good and everything is going well down in Queenstown. It's really great to be back together but it was also really nice to miss each other - having spent every day together missing each other is not something we'd previously been able to do!!! Anyway, we spent a few nights in Auckland and about 3 days in Raglan. We had some great fun out surfing and there were some decent waves while we were there. Zak's improved enough to be straight out the back, I'm still surfing the smaller waves at the front. All good fun though! We went round to the other bays (Whale Bay and Manu) where the pro's surf! Good to see how it should be done!! For any surfing fans out there - Manu is featured on the Endless Summer movie. The flight down to Queenstown was a bit hairy! We were lucky to land, lots of other flights were cancelled or re-routed. Obviously I loved it (not!) especially when the pilot announced he was 'gonna try and land and hopefully we'll make it!' - brilliant!! We've hired a 4x4 to get us around and we'll be in Queenstown for about a week before we head off to see Wanaka and the Glaciers (see the pic). Linda and everyone here are well and their new house in Wilson Bay (about 9km from Queenstown) is beautiful. Hope everything is good back home. Not long now and we'll be home!!! Love Mel and Zak xxxxx Keep the messages coming though - its gone a bit quiet over the past few weeks and we do miss them!
