Last day of trekking! Must admit I'm pretty happy it's the last day, not been as good as I thought, but I've met some really nice people so I guess that's something.
We finished the trek by walking out of the jungle which took an hour or so and then we rode elephants, this time for much longer and without a hangover. I went on the elephant with Ben. Nick went with Tom the Austrian.
After, we went rafting down a river, this time it was a much narrower raft down a much faster river. Best part of the day! I got to steer the raft which was really difficult, our original driver was some Thai kid who looked about 10! On the way down the river we passed some Asians who had crashed and got stuck, they had a cool box of beers and threw myself, Nick and Tom one each. It was us 3 and the driver on the raft, we all gave the kid some beer which I think went to his head quite quickly as we crashed heavily into some rocks! Great fun.
We eventually arrived back at our hotel we checked into before the jungle trek. After a long day we chilled out at the swimming pool with our group from the trek and decided to have a night out together to celebrate.
We met up at 7pm to head into Chiang Mai central. We went to a place owned by an American called Chiang Mai Saloon, I demolished a bacon cheeseburger! It was delicious. We then all headed to a bar called Zoe's for more drinks and nightclub.
Everyone had an amazing night, it was the highlight of Chiang Mai. Tom the Austrian was sick back at the hotel too which was lovely.
