So what can be said about Sydney? First off I have to say it's a lot colder down here than on the Coast!! It's "only" Swedish summer heat here. brrr. But I love this city! After settling into our hotel we decided to meet up with my friend Ericka who was visiting her boyfriend for the week. Only it turns out meeting at the same place wasn't as easy as we thought :P It took her over 1,5h to figure out how to get to where we were in Darling Harbour. Haha. Where are you?? I'm at wharf 5! Wharf 5? Where's that?? haha. Well, I guess you'd have to be there.
Anyway. First night was spent with Erickita and the next morning we woke up early to explore the city. Love love love Sydney - I can not say it enough. It's truly like San Fran, except not as many hills! But the feeling is the same. Mom and I went on a shopping spree every day in Sydney I believe. Oh, maybe with the exception for the day we went up to Blue Mountains. Couldn't do much shopping there... Except I did have to get a sweater cause it was freakin cold (but it was highly unwanted). It was nice to walk around in the mountains for the day but mom brought back an unwanted passenger.... in form of a leech. So gross! It was devouring her for hours without our knowledge. Poor Mami :(
At the end of our Blue Mountains tour we went to this animal rescue park where they took care of animals who had gotten hurt in the wild. All typical Australian animals. Loved the Wallabies. So much cuter than Roos I think! It was nice to see that kind of park in contrast to a zoo, since I've been to plenty of those around the world.
I learned a lot more about the city during my stay in Sydney and found all these little places that I can't wait to go back to. Sydney felt a lot more like me than the Gold Coast does. Then again I'm not really a GC girl now am I? ;)
Next stop is Fraser Island for Christmas! :) See you then!
