Sickness and a Bike Tour
After pretty much 24 hours of sleep, I finally managed to get my butt out of bed, showered and dressed. I have come to realise that as usual I have packed everythink from home in including the kitchen sink! Maybe a backpack on wheels may help me carry my load?? I managed to get a fab pedicure and foot scrapin (yuck) for $10 at Lien Beauty Centre, 6 Phan Boi Chau, District 1, HCM City! I advise you to go, my feet look and feel amazing! Had a fab meal last night of chicken noodle soup type thing after having my feet done.
Anyway, so I finally left the hotel midday to go and grab a bite to eat, bit concerned about eating just anywhere, so I popped into KFC, different menu option available, so why not try their fab BBQ style Chicken with rice, salad and a side of chicken and veg soup! 5 minutes into eating my stomach starts churning, like this guy from Africa starts talking to me and I am like mate I don't feel well! I had to then run up two floors to the women's toilets lifted the lid to this dirty turd staring at me and I started vomiting all over the place! Moral of the story, stick to what you know, standard chicken and chips! Oh and toilet lids are generally left down for a reason, so do not be surprised when you lift the lid! Lol!
I was still very I'll and started shaking, so I went outside for some air. This lovely guy selling motorbike tours tried to flog me a tour and then realised I was really sick, took me to a Doctor, communicated for me and got me some medicine!
Once I started feeling better he took me back to my hotel on the back of his bike for a fee of course, nothing is free in life and continued to flog me a city tour on the back of his bike, so yep I went round Ho Chi Minh on the back of a bike! If you go to Vietnam, I suggest you give him a call, he is called Quan tel 0121 3848157 or (+84) 121 3848157.
Saw three bike accidents in total today, one dude got crashed by a cab driver! The roads are pretty dangerous with many in the city travelling by motorbike or scooter, they don't stop so you just walk across the roads and pray to God you don't get hit by a scooter/motorbike, taxi or even worse a bus, they usually tend to drive around you so it is not too bad!
Met my group today and was told how to crack Facebook in Vietnam by logging onto Hidemyass.com! jokes! Lol! You can log on, but not for long, you usually get cut off!
Went for a meal out, thought I would stick to the veggie option of Cannelloni. but it was filled with scrambled eggs, took the eggs out and just at the pasta, chopped tomatoes and carrots! Moral of the story, I ain't in Italy so don't get Italian food! lol!
Hit a couple of bars wit the crew, got 3 cocktails for £6! Well impressed, so it is now 1:34am, so with an early morning tour, I guess I ought to get my butt to bed and get my journal up to date!
