Chiang Mia - Elephant Camp and Tiger Kingdon
Today we made our journey to the elephant camp, for a day of elephant riding and watching the elephant show in Chiang Mia. It was yet an early start to the day leaving at 6.30am.
We left our hotel, which was full of bugs mind you as I could hear the girls screaming next door! lol!
The journey to Chiang Mia is around 3.5 hours, so I am so looking forward to going elephant riding and then hanging out with the tigers. Good job our mini bus has a DVD player, so we watched Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and then Black Swan! Now that is what I call travelling in style....
When we arrived it looked easy, but I was freaking out being on the elephant that was climbing up hill and not walking on flat land. It was so scary! lol! The elephants were huge! lol! We finally made it back in time to watch the elephant show! How they train them to throw darts, play football and lastly paint pictures of flowers I do not know. At the end of the show they had even trained the elephants to grab tips... the elephants came charging with their trunks out at the end of the show wanting money! It was crazy! I started running as they started charging towards the audience!
After feeding the baby elephant and the elephant nursery we made our way to see the Tigers! I was the only one in the group to pay money to get some crazy pictures, but I had an amazing and scary time....
Off to the overnight sleeper train to Bangkok where the first tour ends... I had a wicked day today and have so many memories to take away with me! Bliss! =O)
