A quick post to celebrate my first afternoon lazing by a pool!
After an early morning breakfast with Carol, Vijay and the twins (Abigail and Levi) I ventured to The Batu caves where I climbed 272 steps to Temple Cave a huge Hindu shrine. I actually got a little bit nervous about next weeks climb because I found the steps hard work, I blame the humidity not my fitness!
There was also a tour of Dark Cave which unsurprisingly was pitch black. It would have been fine if the guide hadn't shown us laminated pictures of the spiders, cockroaches and snakes that we would encounter. And yes we did see a 7 foot constricting snake and one of the rarest spiders in the world...:)
Oh, did I mention that breakfast was chinese dim sum at the side of the road and I managed to squeeze in a trip to the Petronas towers before the Bat Cave! Super tourist strikes again.
So as you can imagine an afternoon at the pool was just what the doctor ordered. A little snooze, a little kindle and now I am freshly showered and ready for Sat night on the town, or the Night Market to be precise. I'm holding back on buying handbags and purses at the moment but there is so much to tempt me. Whole stalls dedicated to Hello Kitty for one thing.
Adios for now, I'll prob be in Borneo when I next post a blog, flight is tomorrow lunchtime.
