Hi, and welcome to my blog.
I was told, by a friend, to start a blog, since within 30 hours from now, I'll have left the country of which I was born in, to go explore and investigate how they are able to walk, talk and eat (and s***, drink and sleep) upside down in the great Down Under. I'll be flying from Norway, all the way to Australia, to pursue a life as a student.
My journey will be a long and tedious one, as I will fly across the globe to the land where up is down and down is up. For us up here in the great barren north, where polarbears roam the streets in our company.
At 06:45, if all goes well, I will fly from my hometown, Bergen, to Oslo. Quite the exiting start, leaving one Norwegian city, just to land in another one. I can barely contain the exitement of it all. Regardless, we must push forward. My next exiting step, will be to Copenhagen in Denmark. They speak Danish, so since I am one of the few Nordic inhabitants who has severe communication skills with both Swedes and Danes (and, to some degree, many Norwegians) I'll, there, change my ways and speak the One True Language: English. (For those who may not have noticed, I've been rather ironic, or, well, sarcastic, I'm really not sure, in this last paragraph.)
Further on, I'll fly from Copenhagen to Singapore. Now here's where the "adventures" begin. Having never been in Asia and with limited to no experience with Asian cultures, this should be quite interesting (I'll sit by myself, stare at no one, take care of my business and try to blend in as much as it is possible for a 6.1″ blonde, pale scandinavian to blend in, in Asia). Unfortunately, I only have three hours to spend there, which is by far not enough, before I commence my flight to Brisbane. All in all I will have flown 20 hours and suffered only 4 hours of overlay time, which is just about perfect, as it grants me enough time to locate the next flight, and get a bite to eat.
Images will be put up eventually, when I have photos of something interesting regarding whatever I'll write about.
Of course, my journey has yet to begin, however, in a mere 20 hours I'll be getting ready for the car-ride to the first of four airports. Now where was that passport…?
