Hi!! From reading your blog I see you did the two Add on trips after Thaintro that I want to do! Just wondering if you could give me some more information like how you get from Koh Phangan to Chiang Mai and then to Phi Phi/Phuket? And do you have any idea how you get back to Bangkok after Phuket? Not sure when to book my return flight home for!

Hi David,
Glad you have got home and hope that the flight was ok. You must feel quite strange at the moment, almost in no-mans land, not yet adjusted from holiday and travel mode and not back to the routine of day to day work etc.
Have just seen all of your last photos - they were brilliant, the islands around Phuket -were lovely although I don't know if I could cope with the caves, the entrances looked too small for me!!!!
You have had an amazing trip and lots of wonderful experiences sometime hope to see you so that we can hear about some of them.
I wonder if you have taken a photo of your luggage etc on your arrival home and wonder how it compaired with the one taken before you started your travels!!

Glad you have got to Thailand ok - your photos remind us of some happy times when we visited the city all those years ago. Glad the floods have gone down and that you are able to continue with your plans. With your new cooking skills I expect everyone at home will be wanting a sample! Just read a piece in Mondays Times sports review of the weekend and in a paragraph about Aldershot it seems as though Ross had a brilliant match against Macclesfield and he has been signed on until 2014.
Enjoy your last week or so of your adventures, it won't be long before you will be getting ready to come home- it has tried to snow again this morning and the temperature at the moment is just above freezing.

Before you leave Sydney do try to walk the bridge....I didn't make it because I can't cope with heights but Keith Caroline and Lauren did it during our visit all those years ago. Sounds as though you are with friends and they will help to make sure the last few days in Sydney are fun.
Do check out the conditions in Thailand before you set off just to make sure that travel to the places you want to go to is back up and running after the floods. Also it might be useful to check how they have affected the mosquitoes!!!!!!

Happy New Year David and best of luck for the rest of your travels. New Year looked amazing and you really look the part now on a surf board! When you get back home I don't think frensham ponds or even llittlehampton will live up to expectations! We all had a good New Year and can't believe it is now 2012....Olympic year. Keith Lauren and myself are all going to be helpers during the games...Lauren with Badmington, I am with archery and the triathlon(random I know but should be interesting) and Keith is still waiting to find out what he will be doing. The uniforms that we will be wearing have just been announced and they look terrible with purple and red jackets- apparently they are supposed to be a cross between the grenadier guard uniform and seargent pepper!!!! Certainly not as smart or as cool as the Australian Olympic outfits. Love from us all.

Just caught up with all you latest entries- what an amazing time you are now having and WHAT A BIRTHDAY - brilliant and certainly one that will take some beating. We are reading all about your adventures with envy, they do truly sound fantastic.
We are now getting ready for christmas and starting the shopping marathon. Last week Caroline Oliver and I drove down to see Granny and Grandpa - they loved seeing their great grandson, especially grandpa who was able to remember lots from his own childhood. They both send their love and wish you a very happy christmas.
New York was fantastic and we all had a great time....especially as our trip was not affected in any way by the various strikes.
Have a wonderful Christmas and I wonder what plans you have to celebrate New Year??
