You should check out Mom's new sight for Wilfredo. It's really looking great. She's so talented with this web design. I'm so proud of her. How's the weather today? Can we chat or talk on the phone today? I really miss talking to you. I don't remember if I told you that my new computor has been shipped and it should arrive tommorrow. Wow, am I excited or what!!!!!!!!!!! Well, I'll just keep sending little messages until I hear that we can talk or chat.
I'm listening to Bonnie Raitt as I write. I can't believe that she was just at the Santa Cruz Civic Center and I didn't go. Well maybe next time.
Roni and I were just talking about going to see the Dixie Chicks in concert. They will be in Fresno in November.
Brandon and I will go to Pomona in the second weekend of November to see the finals for 2006. Tony Schumacher is in first place. He's the guy you were walking along talking to and you didn't even know who you were. I think he really enjoyed talking to someone about life and his child without having to be on stage like he has to for all the rest of the fans. Mike Edwards, the Young Life driver, is really doing good. He made to the finals last week and only lost by about a foot. Well, gotta go, love you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dad
Hey, lets try to talk by phone today. I will pray about your studies. It lmust be frustrating to change teachers so often, but I guess their method of learning needs no teacher once you have the structure. Looks like you just have to study on your own. Is the school worth what you paid for it. It sure seems like th whole experience is really worth it. Would you recomend the school to someone else?
Cloey keeps bumping me and trying to get my attention. Maybe she wants me to say hello for her.
I got some good rest and it's Sunday so I'm going to rest well today. I'm going to send this now in case you are close to your computor. Love Dad

Hey dad, the plans for the house sound crazy! I can't believe you met with a contractor - that's pretty serious! It would be awesome to have somewhere to stay when we visit - I plan on doing that a lot! I miss you and wish that I could just go hang out with you guys down at the rec house! I have been studying a lot this weekend - I am in a very big class right now(about 15 students) and since Juan left I don't really have a reason to want to stick around. I am going to try to dedicate myself to my studies and maybe be able to move up a level in a week or two rather than in five. wish me luck and pray real hard - it's not going to be easy! I was just looking over the message I posted in Spanish and I spotted a few errors:) I guess it's good I can spot them. Tell mom and Roni hi for me and try to pass along a hello to grandma. Love you, Mikahla
P.S. I hope you slept good and get to rest some today!
Dad
I must be real tired. I forgot to put Roni's name in that last communication. I shot baskets with her, but I guess you knew that!!!!
Dad
Wow!!!!!!!!!!!! Roni just read what you wrote in Spanish and she did it real fast without hesitation.
Mom and I met with a contractor this morning and discussed plans for building a new house on the upper property. We are getting real excited as its seems more and more possible. It would be a new 3 bedroom, 2 bath and we'd be able to keep this old house because it's historical. We might rent out the old house for 3 months to Mt. Hermon guests and then you,Roni,Brandon,Dana and all your kids could stay when you come to visit us. Well, its real late and I'm real tired, so off to bed. And you're just getting up, well maybe not since it's Sunday AM and you might be sleeping in. Hope you do get some good rest and sleep. I'll share later the ideas I have for visiting you on the end of your stay. I'm too tired right now. Love you, Dad. P.S. I went down to the Mt. Hermon gym tonight and shot some baskets with her. She works Friday and Saturday nights until aroun 11:30. We were making shots from about 60 feet away. Then she beat me in 2 out of 3 games of "21" See ya!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Memorias...:)

Hey, I checked out all of mom's web pages-pretty impresive! Good for you for riding your bike still - keep it up papi! I am proud of you both! Your computer sounds exciting - hopefuly we find some way to video chat together! My gym membership has been really fun! I have taken six classes this week! I haven't swam yet, but plan to tomorrow. It is so much fun! Today I didn't go because I am spending the day studying and reading(in Spanish-so really it's studying too). There is a lot to learn and I am hoping to reach the advanced level before I leave Spain! Wish me luck - and pray for me, a lot:) I miss you guys so much you are invading my dreams! I had a dream last night that I was at a family reunion at the rec feild, except Camille, Danielle, and Alex Sumner were there and some other people I think we were singing or treasure hunting, I don't really remember it all:) Maybe I'll dream it again tonight and I can try to remember in the morning.
So Dad, what are your plans then? What would be your ideal trip? This is what I want to know. Get Roni to come on here too so she can write what she's thinking.
Love, Mikahla
Dad
Yes, this year is our 25th anniversary!!!!!!!!! It sure would be great to spend our time celebrating in the Tuscan Valley. Your plans sound exciting, but very busy. It must be your youth and my age clashing some because it makes me anxious and very tired looking at those plans. I have to remind myself that I'm not 20. There's still an adventurer in me that wants to do it all. Don't you give up all those dreams just because I'm older. We can make it work with some fine tuning. This is a great time for you to explore while you are young, single and energetic. You are visionary like your Mom. It's fun to see all your ideas.
I just finished another counseling week and am resting some today. I can hardly wait for my new laptop. It is a PC, not MAC. I want to be able to network with our desktop. It's a Dell with a 1.83GHz/667MHz processor, 15.4 inch UltraSharp wide screen LCD panel with TrueLife, 120GB 5400 rpm hard drive, Combo DVD+RW Drive burner with double-layer DVD+R write capability, video card with vista compatibility, all wireless networking capability and lots of software (windows xp media center edition 2005, Microsoft Office, Anti-Virus security, Adobe Acrobat Reader 7.0 and Dell Digital Entertainment package). Along with the wireless web cam we can hopefully have live video conferences with you.
Roni and I are going to meet for breakfast this AM. She has no school on Friday AM, so we've been enjoying the time to catch up with each other. It's been a great time to read the Bible together and pray for each other and others too.
After riding my bike again today, it will be 5 weeks of riding 3x's a week. Thanks for your influence/encouragement as I hear about your working out plans. I'm so excited about your new gym membership. I've never joined an official gym, but I know the feeling of being new at a gym because of using the Mt. Hermon gym. I imagine it would be really intimidating to be in one for the first time especially with so many people. I think my first time at the Mt. Hermon gym there was only one person there. Wow, that was many years ago.
Mom is becoming a real proffessional at web page design. It's really fun to watch her at it. She moves so fast I can't follow her. She's quite a programer. She says I'm a good editor, so I can give her my perspective. I told her I can sometimes be a good "flaw finder". From my writing you can tell I might not be the best writing editor, but I can edit the visual. Oh, and some of her famous missppeelliinnggss. You shold see her new site for a local Model/actor. She just started his page yesterday only spending about three hours on it, still in construction obviously. You can see the progress at www.wilfredocordova.com. Well, gotta go for now, Love you, Dad

OK. This is what I have in mind for next May/June. I want to do a backpacking trip. I need to do some more research to see if this would be possible, but I think it would be awesome to spend most of our time in more natural places and only stop in to visit certain specific cities of interest. It might be too much to pack all our own camping gear and it might be better to just stay in hostles - I don't know, but I don't really want to be in big cities the whole time. Eurorail is certainly a good option, but I would also like to look into parts we can trek(aka walk) or rent bikes(depending on cost). A lot is up in the air, but this is just me thinking out loud. I think the trip, as I have it in my head now, is too busy and that it would be good not to be rushing. The areas I really want to see are Austria and Ireland, I would love to get some white water rafting in here and there - maybe two different rivers:) Prague would be cool, London would be great other than that...it might be fun to show you guys the cities I lived in the year before - if you'd like to see them. There are my thoughts right now - now it's your turn. Please:)
P.S. Papi, if you want to stay any amount of time in Italy I think it would be better if you come while I am still there. It would be pretty awesome if you and mom could come stay for a couple of weeks there together - maybe we could send out a newsletter about your guys's 25th anniversary(is that this year?) and ask people to gift you money instead of other things so that you can go on a second honeymoon to Italy and visit your daughter in the process! Roni and I could do the letter and say it's going to be a surprise - very very sneaky sir.

Hey Dad, I was at school at 2PM today! After school today I went to the gym! I signed up last Friday, but today was the first day I actually went - I was a little nervous, to be honest, because I knew the first few days I would look really stupid not knowing where things are or how exactly to use the equipment and with the language barrier added in, well, it took me a few days to work of the courage:) Kind of sad, but at least in the end I just did it with a smile so maybe I'd be seen as the nice stupid girl rather than just the stupid girl:) It wasn't really bad, a little confusing, but that was overshadowed by my curiosity to find everything and my pleasure once I discovered everything was even better than I had hoped! They have at least two different aerobic rooms, one especially for women which is less crowded, a really nice weight room with a bunch of machines and free weights and a mat area with bosu balls and other equipment for alternate excercises and stretching. They also have a pool, tanning area(free), saunas, and rooms for classes. They have a really awesome class schedule (the main reason I joined this gym) and I took a tonification class today - it was great! Hard, but I loved it! They provide al the equipment and provide classes like stretching, aerobics(step, ect.), dance classes, kick boxing, tai-chi, and more than one different type of yoga. I am in heaven! To make sure I don't spend all my time in the gym and miss seeing Barcelona I have made a pact to see one big new thing every week and to spend at least part of a day just exploring the city streets. Tonight at dinner the family will discuss whether they want to go white water rafting with me one of the upcoming weekends - I am not sure we can catch the end of the season, but I'll find out tonight. If it doesn't work out I am going in May, no question, so Camille, Roni, Dad, if you are with me in May you're going too:) By the way, we all need to start thinking out loud about that trip. Tell me all your thoughts and I will tell you mine and maybe together we can form some ideas about what will be. I have to go right now, but I will try to get on again tonight and finish up. Love to all, Mikahla
P.S. Dad, congratulations on the laptop - they are WAY FUN! What kind is it? Tell me all the details! How about Friday, or Sunday for a phone call this weekend? We can set a time and I will wait by the phone! Love guys and miss you a lot - a whole, whole lot!
Dad
I'm sitting here waiting for a message to pop up. I sure wish I could phone you or chat. It looks like it's 2 P.M. there and I wonder where you're at. Maybe still at school. If I knew you were home I could call you. I think I'll call anyway. I hesitate because I know so little Spanish. I guess I'll have to get going on that in my spare time, if I only had some. I'm so glad I have so many things I want to do. I don't think I'd ever get bored if I were rich and retired. I'm sure glad I love my work.
I'm looking forward to using my laptop for multimedia teaching presentations. Once I get the book written, we should be able to travel throughout the U.S. speaking and teaching couple communication and parenting. Mom is all excited about using camera and sound so I can rent my office with camera and sound installed as we travel and coach via internet. We could stay in some remote areas. Couldn't you just see her volunteering at a beautiful horse rance while I work on writing, teaching and speaking. Isn't it fun to dream. God has already blessed us beyond what I could imagine. Stay close to Him. He has an exciting plan for you as you can see. Don't forget to be still occassionally and let Him hold you tight. He loves you so much. How do you like all those double letters in ooccassionnally. Love, Dad
Dad
I woke up at 5AM wide awake, so I thought I'd take advantage of this time and write you. I hope all is well with you. I was concerned you might have gotten a cold up on the mountain. That must have been a two way shock at the horse pen. Physical pain and mental shock as well. As you know, I grew up on a farm with cattle, horses and electric fences, so I know how those can shock you.
I'm real excited because last night I ordered a new lap top for my business and book writing. Maybe that's why I can't sleep. I can hardly wait to get it all set up. I also ordered a wireless web cam, so we'll have to get techy and find out how to chat with the cameras. I miss seeing you and so the pictures you send really help keep us in touch. Those cameras ought to enhance the process of communication.
I checked with the phone company and we have 12 cents a minute service to Spain and France, so lets talk at least once every weekend. For some reason it's 16 cents per minute in Italy. We get that special international rate for only $2.95 per month. Ordinarily it would be around $3.25 per minute ($32.50 vs. $1.20 for ten minutes).
Mom and I went on a fun date down on the mall. We went to Borders and Mom looked at internet info. and I searched hot rods and motorcycles. I also went to the travel section to explore Spain and Italy, especially the Tuscan Valley area. Wow, both those areas are sure beautiful. The many more years of history make the areas more beautiful with all those beautiful old buildings.
Cloey and I went for a river walk Saturday down to the new swinging foot bridge at Redwood Camp. You should see this construction, it's pretty cool and all done except for the approach areas on each side. The company that built it does these all over the U.S. and Canada. Suspension bridges mostly in State and National parks. I met one of the young guys who travels all over with the company. He was all rigged up with climbing gear and told me of the next one they'll build in Maryland. It is suposed to be twice as high as ours, somewhere around 500 plus feet above the canyon. Sounds like an exciting construction job. Well, I better try to get some more sleep. Love you, Dad
