Met Howard and Jenny Atkins who are out here. Howard is playing for Wales over 55s. Watched the over 50s play. They lost narrowly to New Zealand 2-1 but we're happy with that. Then watched the opening ceremony and there was an amazing noise when the Wales reps went out onto the pitch. Our game started at 5.30 pm. I wasn't in the starting line-up but as I was very nervous-that was ok. On after about 8 mins and was ok. I think we gave England a bit of a shock as they didn't score in the first quarter. Second quarter saw 2 goals -one of which was a penalty flick. And then 1 more goal in the 3rd quarter. Great day though.
