The last week has been quite different. In Potosi we did very little apart from hang around. The main attraction there is a old silver mine where working practice is Victorian at best. Neither of us fancied crawling through small tunnels and watching children work. We did witness a fiesta and were swept along by a group of young Bolivians who kindly shared their Casa Real and crisps with us. The higlight of the night was when they took us to a nightclub.......ge...

After Santa Cruz we headed to a small town called Samaipata which was a peaceful retreat in the country side. We did a few small walks and had a look at some pre inca ruins. The town itself was really pretty and surprisingly full of German expats which was a bit random. We are now in Sucre which is at 2700m, is further south and a 15hour gruelling bus ride from Samaipata. The buses here are far from comfortable and the journey was more like being inside a marra...

Hi All, We´ve been in the back and beyond otherwise known as The Pantanal for last 4 days, and what an experience we had! We went on a 3 day tour into Brazil´s wetlands to go wildlife watching, in hope to see giant anteaters and armadillo´s. We arrived there by pick up and on arrival it was obvious that we were going to be mosquito food! We were eaten alive from start to end. We did intially stay in a camp site next to a cayman and pirhana infested river, ...

We are now expert bus travellers! Just completed another 24 hour bus journey from Rio to Camp Grande. I think we have mastered the art of becomimg catatonic for extended periods! I made a friend on the bus on the form of a 12 year old girl ( I think I should also point out that ´I` means Claire! She spent most of the 24hours talking to me in Portuguese, and covering me up with her blanket amd singing to me!?....I had fun! Campo Grande is generously titled...it...
