we managed to hitch a lift to darwin with crystal the stripper  . . . .i mean canadian and mosquito the japanese. we took turns in driving up the stuart highway in gary the station wagon stopping off at wyward wells where we abducted by aliens then headed to the devils marbles (plenty of kodak moments there!)

rolled up in tennants creek little bit sweaty (gary's aircon consisted of winding the windows down) after driving 6 km up a dirt track we slept at a camp site that resembled somethings off wolf creek.after nearly causing a bush fire and the fear od being taken away in the bush by dingo's and crazy rednecks we left swiftly in the morning!

heading towards kathrine gorge were i swam with crocs (someones gota take over from big steve!) relaxed in the theremal pools of mataranka were we met some random ozzies! and stayed in their corigated iron home  . . . but thats another story!

finaly arrived in the ovan that is darwin did the usual tourist stops of the mueseams, mindi markets, beaches and sunsets, munching on some roadkill along the way! started our tour of kakadu national park, visited aborigional sites, swam in a bunch of billabongs and waterfalls, went off roading, nearly died on some proper sweaty walks and just about avoided being eaten by jumping crocs!

after all that we deserved a heavy tequila fueled night out with the group! i woke with a banging head ach, a mouth like gandi's flip flop and beth playing the didgerydoo in my ear! needless to say i was looking foward to getting back to the home land that is cairns!!!!

i dedicate this entry to steve (plz this is serious don't laugh!) you have given us so much info on the crocs and the critters and some quality catchphrases that even roy walker would have been proud of!! (this is the most dangerous snake  . .  CRIKEY!!! have a look at this little beauty!!) he was a legend and will be sadly missed!

rest in peace (or croc heaven whatever  . . . !)
