Today we woke up bright and early in order to avoid the heat while visiting My Son Temple, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The temples were interesting; however, the main group of temples were the best because they were the least affected by the bombs; therefore, most of the structure still remained intact. The other temples within the site were basically ruins. There were two temples being restored in an area and one has been nicknamed the spider temple (as you can see on some of the photos posted) because there are hundreds of spiders on this one particular temple.
After the temples, we decided to go to the jewellers to see if we could get custom jewerly made. I ended up purchasing two rings, one with a emerland setting and another with amethyst; both in silver. The rings look nice but I found them to be fairly expensive; however, would have to do a comparison back at home to see if I did save any money.
We then decided to tour Hoi An and take some photos along the way before heading off to the tailors for the first fitting.
The dresses I got made were well done and it was impressive that the tailors were able to complete all of our orders in just 24 hours. Some slight adjustments had to be done to the dresses, so I had to come back for a second fitting before the dresses could be complete.
To pass time, we stopped for lunch at a near by restaurant to have pizza. I know it isn't Vietnamese food but a couple on the tour went the night before and raved about how good the pizza was, so we decided to try. The pizza was delicious and reminded me of home - especially since it was Friday.
We then returned to the tailors for a final fitting and to pay for the dresses and shipping. Hopefully the dresses will be in Edmonton within 3 weeks!
At 7pm, we headed off to our cooking class. It was a lot of fun, they pre cut and measured all of the ingredients we required to make the dishes. However, I found it difficult to follow and to remember all of the steps since the head chef went through the steps quickly and made her dish before we could start making ours. But the food we made turned out all right. We made a salad roll, some type of omelette roll, and a papaya salad with chicken. We also received a recipe book on what we just made and a veggie peeler.
It was quite the busy day.
Here is a fun fact: Wendy's the burger place also has stores in Australia; however, they don't sell burgers. They sell hot dogs.

Spiderman Hot dogs?? I don't even think that's an option in America. But sounds like a busy. Looked like some of the spiders are super huge. Kinda look like banana spiders. Did anyone get bit ?
Paula Yeah, hot dogs. I thought it was neat since I just assumed that it would still be a burger place where ever it goes. Apparently Australia has a few other burger joints.. so maybe Wendy's didn't want to compete against them.. strange hey. They are pretty big. Before we went to the temples we stopped off to use the washrooms and inside the stalls there was a massive spider that was probably the size of a fist. So gross, just tried not to move very quickly and then got the heck out of the washroom. But no one got bit either then or at the spider temple. Just lots of "I hate spiders" comments from almost everyone.
Peter Parker That is pretty huge. I didn't think we saw that big of spiders in Costa Rica. Oh. Are there snakes ? Spot any monkeys? Or is it gorillas?
Paula Peter Parker.. lol, going to go through all of the superhero names? Um.. I wish I took a photo of it.. I would say it could have been comparable to a huntsmen spider or a brown recluse (just googled that). But just the shape of it.. I have no idea what it actually was. Snakes yes, but have only seen a python. They seem to eat a fair amount of snake here from what I can gather. No monkeys. Seems like its typically: dogs, chickens, roosters, cows, water buffalo, and caged birds. Its strange because all of the animals are thin and tiny. Like all of the dogs are around the size of Koda, and I have only seen 5 cats since being here.
