Last day here. Still very hot and dry. Had a few jobs to do before heading out on the road trip but decided to do the trek up to Refugio Lopez first. This was seriously steep and we were worried on the way up about how steep the descent was going to be. We reached the refugio pretty shattered as it was tough, and the place itself was horrible despite the views. 'sending you to Lopez' will now be a threat between the two of us. Weather was on the turn up there so we decided to head back down. Stopped for coffee and a condor swooped right past, too fast to get the camera out though. Put to shame by local families with kids ambling up with apparent ease.
Went to lie on beach but after smothering ourselves with sunscreen it started to rain. Stuck at it for a bit, being British and all, but had to admit defeat and go indoors in the end. Packing up now for the road trip to begin. Been great here, more beautiful than imagined and good to settle in one place while getting our bearings.
