Kate's time away
Morzine, France
so today in Morzine it's raining hard and has been for about 2 days now...im sat in 'The Office' which is the internet cafe owned by our friend Ro (short for Rowland - what a name!) eating Milka (you are the best chocolate ever) and playing hangman to find out Ro's last name. I'm really really enjoying myself here, ive got about 16 days left and although i wont miss the early mornings and annoying guests i will really miss my friends and their very weird quirks (Tessa's ear/throat cleaning noise in the morning BUGH, everyone speaking in Bristol accents, Matt using the word 'jumper-cardi', Sophie's one small arm and other super muscley one). It's a bit of a running joke here that i hardly ever ski and eat a lot of chocolate, but its not completely true...the thing is i like skiiing, but i dont live for it, especially when its raining plus i like naps more. And i DO like chocolate but for every milka or twix i buy, i can pretty much guarantee Ro will eat half of it anyway.
Me, tessa and soph work in a chalet 5 minutes down the piste run by 2 pretty weird people...well, one is OK - Moira. Her husband Paul is a bit twatty basically. Although its mean, we change the words of the sainsbury's little tiny Bill song to little tiny paul, it has a dance and everything. stupid things in the chalet make us laugh - eg the biscottes box is actually a briefcase, which obviously is what a secret spy would need - hard bread. paul had to go on a jacuzzi management course and we eat this crap celery related veg called celeriac which we make into a song called funnily enough, celeriac. we're still obsessed with the OC napoleon dynamite and desperate housewives. ill write more later, me and Ro are getting into a heated conversation about CISV and whether or not its just a tour operator.
